Book on Ka Niam Khasi released

Shillong, Dec 6: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma released the book ‘A Sociological Study of The Khasi Religion’ in presence of CEM KHADC Pyniaid Sing Syiem on Thursday.

Authored by Dr. Sharalyne Khyriemmujat and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing House, the book forwarded by the Syiem of Hima Khyrim, is study of Ka Niam Khasi (traditional Khasi belief).  

Launching the book, the chief minister congratulated Dr. Sharalyne for the publication of her book. In return, the author expressed her gratitude to the chief minister for doing the honours of releasing the book and also thanked the CEM for his support for making the publication a success.

Dr Khyriemmujat is an assistant professor and the Head of the Department of Sociology, Shillong College. She obtained her PhD from North-Eastern Hill University, on the topic “A Sociological Study of Ka Niam Khasi”.
