BSF, BGB held a sector commander-level border coordination meeting

Shillong, Jan 23: On 22th Jan 2025, a Sector Commander level co-ordination meeting between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was held near International border 193Bn BSF. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations, ensure better coordination and address various border-related issues. The BSF delegation was led by Sh Manoj Kumar Barnwal, DIG, Sector HQ BSF Shillong while Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Deputy Director General, Sector Commander BGB, Sylhet, Bangladesh led the BGB delegates.

During the meeting, the commanders of both the border guarding forces discussed on various border related issues such as Co-ordinated Border Management Plan and other matters of mutual interest. At the end of the conference, both sides expressed satisfaction with the meaningful and cordial discussions, which reflect friendly bilateral relationships between the two countries. Both commanders reiterated their commitment to fostering a secure and peaceful border environment and praised the ongoing efforts of their respective forces in maintaining tranquility in the region. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to hold regular coordination meetings in the future to ensure continued cooperation and the smooth functioning of border management operations.
