New state Youth Congress chief

Tura, Feb 7: Youth Congress leader from Garo Hills, Timjim K Momin has been appointed the new President of Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress by Indian Youth Congress chief Uday Bhanu Chib in Delhi on Thursday.

32 year old Timjim K Momin is an M.Tech holder from IIT Guwahati. He contested the last MLA elections in 2023 from Mendipathar constituency of North Garo Hills on a Congress ticket and was defeated by the sitting MLA and NPP candidate Marthon Sangma.

Elections to the Youth Congress have been ongoing for the past few weeks with several candidates already elected to various posts.
