Car lies atop a rock pile as driver lost control in Tura

Tura, Feb 21: A Hyundai vehicle lies atop a rock pile dumped on the side of the road at Rongkhon, outskirts of Tura, after the driver lost control of the vehicle on Thursday night.

Ongoing expansion of the Tura to Rongram road, particularly the Chitoktak to Rongkhon stretch, has multiple sections strewn with work materials, particularly stones, boulders and stone chips, which lie dangerously by the side of the road with little or no proper sign to alert commuters.

Drivers complain of having to negotiate the ongoing construction along the stretch with no caution signs and it becomes a challenge during night time driving.
