BSF apprehends 6 Bangladeshi nationals

Shillong, Feb 24: The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya on Saturday nabbed multiple individuals in separate incidents while they were attempting to cross the international border.

BSF troops, acting on specific intelligence inputs, caught four Bangladeshi nationals along the West Jaintia Hills district border.

Further inquiries revealed that some of the apprehended individuals had been working as masons in Basantpur, Mumbai, while a Bangladeshi female national had traveled to Mumbai for her husband’s medical treatment.

In another operation, the troops also nabbed two more Bangladeshi nationals near the South Garo Hills border after they had inadvertently entered the Indian territory.

The apprehended individuals in both cases were handed over to police stations concerned for further legal proceedings.
