Shillong, Mar 17: The Oil India Limited (OIL) has contributed ₹2.5 crore from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for installation of state-of-the-art CO2 diode machines in Oncology department of Tura Civil Hospital.
The aid towards cancer treatment was given to Dishayen Foundation to provide the service at the civil hospital.
Expressing gratitude to OIL for its gesture, chief minister Conrad K Sangma said, “The CSR support will have a lasting impact on strengthening health infrastructure in the state, especially for cancer patients in Garo Hills.”
“The government is collaborating with different organizations with a shared purpose to further improve healthcare accessibility in the state,” he added.
