Massive participation in Assam as BJP karyakartas tune in to 120th Mann Ki Baat across 29,565 booths

Guwahati, Mar 30: The 120th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat witnessed an overwhelming response in Assam, with BJP karyakartas and citizens engaging across 29,565 booths in all 39 organizational districts of the state.

The broadcast, which focused on India’s cultural heritage, development, and social initiatives, saw enthusiastic participation from senior BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, ministers, MPs, and grassroots workers.

In a statement issued from the Assam BJP’s state office, the party highlighted the scale of participation, underscoring how Mann Ki Baat has become a powerful medium for connecting with people across communities.

Sarma, along with Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika, local MLA Rupak Sharma, Raha MLA Sashikanta Das, and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang, tuned in to the broadcast from Booth No. 147 in Pakimoria Jamuguri Mandal, Nagaon district.

State BJP president and Member of Parliament Dilip Saikia participated from Booth No. 258 in the Palashbari Legislative Assembly constituency of South Kamrup district, joined by MLAs Ramendra Narayan Kalita and Hemanga Thakuria.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister of State Pabitra Margherita attended sessions in Dibrugarh and Jorhat, respectively, alongside local leaders and party workers.

A key highlight of the broadcast was the Prime Minister’s mention of Rongali Bihu, Assam’s biggest festival, which deeply resonated with the state’s cultural sentiments. His recognition of the festival’s significance in Assam’s heritage and identity was met with appreciation from both BJP leaders and citizens, further strengthening the emotional connection between the people and Mann Ki Baat.

Apart from Bihu, PM Modi also touched upon various themes, including Khelo India, para-athletics, water conservation, and sustainable fashion, inspiring grassroots initiatives across the state.

With the upcoming Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council elections, the Assam BJP leveraged the Mann Ki Baat sessions as an opportunity to connect with voters. The program was conducted across 83 booths in the six council constituencies where the party is contesting. Senior BJP functionaries attended these gatherings as special guests, later holding strategy meetings with booth committees to fine-tune election preparations.

The BJP’s massive participation in Mann Ki Baat underscores the growing influence of the initiative in shaping political outreach and grassroots mobilization. With lakhs of party workers and citizens tuning in, the program continues to be a key platform for engaging with the people, reinforcing the party’s vision for development and cultural pride.
