Two militants arrested in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 9: Security forces arrested two militants belonging to different proscribed outfits from Imphal West and Imphal East districts, police said on Thursday.

A self-styled ‘major’ of the proscribed United National Liberation Front (Koireng) was arrested from Ngairangbam Taokhong area in Imphal West district on Tuesday, the police said.

Security forces arrested an active cadre of the banned Peoples’ Liberation Army involved in extortion and abduction from his residence at Arapti in Imphal East district on Wednesday, the police added. (PTI)
