West Jaintia Hills police seek help to identify skeleton

Shillong, Nov 4: West Jaintia Hills police have appealed to the public for information to help identify a human skeleton that was recovered from Rachi Forest, Mookyndur village in West Jaintia Hills on October 30.

District SP Jagpal Singh Dhanoa on Tuesday said the identity of the deceased remains unknown despite an inquest and necessary formalities.

Personal belongings such as a red thread, three keys, and a safety pin were found near the skeletal remains.

Anyone with relevant information or claiming the body is requested to contact the nearest Police Station or the provided phone numbers (6002152968/ 9774065467) within five days.
