Shillong, Nov 24: An abandoned bag at the entrance of SBI Main Branch at Khyndailad panic in the city’s commercial hub on Monday.
Pedestrian and vehicular movement came to a grinding halt as police immediately cordoned off the area.
Bomb squad personnel later opened the bag using protective gear, but found only clothes and a few personal items, including a necklace, inside.
The bag has been handed over to Sadar Police Station for investigation to identify the owner.
