BJP confident of winning 2028 Meghalaya polls

Shillong, Jan 13: BJP national working president Nitin Navin is optimistic about the party’s performance in Meghalaya’s 2028 Assembly polls, predicting they will touch double digits.

He expressed this during a meeting held with the BJP legislator from Pynthorumkhrah AL Hek on Tuesday to discuss the future roadmap for the party in the state.

The meeting focused on expanding the party and strengthening grassroots through proactive development work.

Navin, who recently took charge as the national working president, expressed optimism about the party’s growth in Meghalaya.

He noted that BJP has been increasing its mass appeal in the state over the past few years.

Currently, the BJP has only two MLAs – Hek and Cabinet Minister and South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai – in the 60-member House.
