Conrad slams Cong over ‘drama’ at AI summit

Shillong, Feb 22: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has termed “unfortunate” the Congress party’s recent “shirtless” protest at the AI Summit in New Delhi, saying it was an inappropriate platform for politics.

“Recent drama by the Congress party by having a shirtless protest in the AI summit was unfortunate. In such occasion leaders and political parties must stand together to project the nation. It’s not a platform to play politics … it’s the image of the Country and as an Indian that comes first …,” Sangma said in a social media post.

The Chief Minister underlined the need for unity among leaders and parties to promote the nation’s image, especially at international events.
