Shillong, March 20: An awareness and training programme on effective implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, was held on Friday at the DRDA Conference Hall, DC Office, Ampati, for government officials and members of the public in South West Garo Hills district.
Key topics included the duties of Public Information Officers (PIOs), Assistant Public Information Officers (APIOs), and First Appellate Authorities (FAAs).
District Assistant Commissioner MK Wankhar, Additional District Education SR Marak, District Informatics Officer, and EA Marak addressed the programme which was also attended by Heads of departments, government officials, and members of the public.
