Govt to support JHADC on amendments, pending salary

Assured necessary support to the JHADC from the government to enable it to fulfill its mandate and uphold its commitments to the people and its employees.

Shillong, March 26: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has assured to provide the government’s support to the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) to facilitate amendments to its rules and clear pending salary of the Council’s employees.

The Chief Minister gave the assurance to a JHADC delegation comprising MDCs led by their chief executive member (CEM) Thombor Shiwat following a meeting held on Thursday.

“Assured necessary support to the JHADC from the government to enable it to fulfill its mandate and uphold its commitments to the people and its employees,” he posted on X.

The meeting deliberated on amending the JHADC rules and means to clear pending salary of the Council employees.
