Three convicted in NGH criminal trespass case

Resubelpara, April 27: Three men were recently convicted by the court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, North Garo Hills, Resubelpara for offences involving voluntarily causing hurt and criminal trespass.

The accused persons, Hamton D. Shira, Clinton D. Shira and Riksrang D. Shira were convicted under Sections 323 and 447 of the IPC, and were each sentenced to 4 years and 3 months of simple imprisonment by the court on April 10.

The case was reported at the Women Police Station, Mendipathar, and registered vide Women PS Case No. 08(08)2020 under Sections 447/325/354/34 IPC.

The successful conviction reflects the dedicated efforts and diligent investigation carried out by the officers and staff concerned leading to the court passing a favourable judgment against the three accused persons for their crimes.
