Conrad hails PM, HM, Assam CM

Shillong, May 4: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has hailed the BJP’s “landslide victory” in the assembly elections in Assam and West Bengal, terming it a “reflection of public trust”.

He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on the saffron party’s outstanding electoral performance.

Sangma first extended greetings to the Prime Minister through a post on X.

“Congratulations to Hon’ble PM, @narendramodi ji on his party’s landslide victory in Assam and West Bengal,” he wrote.

“This resounding mandate reflects the people’s trust in his visionary leadership and commitment to development, progress, and good governance.”

He also congratulated Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

“Congratulations to Hon’ble Home Minister, Sh. @AmitShah ji and his party for securing the people’s strong endorsement of their commitment to development in Assam and West Bengal,” Sangma posted.

Addressing Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Sangma said, “Congratulations to my brother, Shri @himantabiswa for his party’s outstanding performance and for once again earning the trust and support of the people of Assam.”

The posts come after the BJP secured a third consecutive term in Assam and set to hold reins in West Bengal for the first time.
