Fire at edible oil godown in Patna

Patna, Jun 29: A fire broke out at an edible oil godown in Patna in the early hours of Monday, officials said.

The blaze was first spotted around 12.50 am at the godown in the Didarganj area, they said.

More than 20 fire trucks doused the blaze in an operation that lasted several hours, they added.

SP (Patna-Rural) Kundan Kumar told PTI that the exact cause of the fire is yet to be known.

“Prima facie, it appears that a short circuit may have triggered the fire,” he said, adding that no one was injured in the incident.

Fire Officer Ajay Kumar said the exact extent of the damage is yet to be assessed. (PTI)
