Shillong, July 5: Over 1.6 lakh enumeration forms have been distributed to households in East Khasi Hills district, with Pynursla legislative assembly constituency (LAC) leading the numbers, during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Meghalaya.
“A total of 1,67,253 Enumeration Forms had been handed out to voters across all 15 assembly constituencies in the district as of July 5, 2026,” the District Election Office (DEO) said on Sunday.
The exercise began on June 30 and covers all 898 parts in East Khasi Hills.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are currently going door-to-door to distribute the forms and collect them after they are filled.
The entire process is scheduled to be completed by July 29, 2026.
Pynursla recorded the highest distribution with 22,004 forms, followed by Mawlai at 13,533 and Pynthorumkhrah (Gen) at 12,683.
Sohiong reported 12,521 forms distributed, while Nongkrem and South Shillong (Gen) crossed the 10,000 mark with 10,012 and 10,049 forms respectively.
In the Shillong urban belt, West Shillong (Gen) saw 9,574 forms distributed, Nongthymmai 9,679, North Shillong 9,197, Mylliem 8,892, Mawrynkneng 11,940, Mawphlang 9,995, Mawkyrwat 8,791, Mawsynram 10,463, and East Shillong 7,920.
On digitization, 6,707 forms have been entered into the system so far. Mawphlang leads with 1,051 forms digitized, followed by Nongthymmai with 882 and Mawsynram with 870.
The DEO also said its SIR Helpline received 17 calls till July 5, and all issues raised were resolved.
Officials urged residents to cooperate with BLOs during the house-to-house visit and submit the completed forms on time to ensure an updated electoral roll for the district.
