Shillong, Aug 12: Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla has assured that the government would soon study and act on a report on issues faced by 108 emergency ambulance service.

“We had conducted a study and received the report,” Shylla told reporters on Wednesday.

The minister said the new National Health Mission Director Ram Kumar would call the 108 workers for a briefing on the observations.

Findings of the study will be shared with the workers, he said, adding that some proposals would be made based on the findings.

“Based on that we will share with them and put forward some proposals. After that it depends on them whether they will accept or not,” he said.

The Minister said efforts are on to resolve the matter quickly.

“Soon we will try to solve this,” Shylla said.
