Shillong, Aug 19: St Edmund’s College whose students shone in the recent university results inaugural National Education Policy (NEP) batch felicitated the toppers on Wednesday.
Nine students of the College were among 18 ‘O’ Grade achievers across the university in the inaugural National Education Policy (NEP) batch.
Emphasizing that true academic excellence is deeply tied to research, Principal Br. Sunil Britto announced Faculty Research Excellence Awards presented to 24 faculty members.
A major highlight of the programme was the ceremonial launch of the inaugural issue of VERITAS, the college’s research journal, jointly unveiled by noted journalist and Padma Shri awardee Patricia Mukhim and the Principal.
Additionally, new research grants for selected students were officially announced.
In her address, Mukhim inspired the students to relentlessly pursue excellence while leveraging their education to create a meaningful, positive impact on society and ecology.
