Shillong, Aug 31: Around 300 students took part in an art and drawing competition held at Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School, Garikhana in Shillong on Sunday, displaying their artistic talents with varied art works. The event was organised by Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Shillong, on the occasion of its foundation day.
The competition was open to students from all schools in Shillong and was divided into different age groups, ranging from Nursery to Class X, along with an Open category for students of Class XI and above.
The results of the competition will be declared on September 6.
The organisers said that the competition aims to encourage creativity among students while promoting awareness about India’s cultural traditions through art.
