Govt invites public suggestions on draft Agriculture Policy

Shillong, Sept 3: The state government has invited suggestions from the public on the Draft Meghalaya State Agriculture Policy, 2026.

In a notification issued  by Commissioner & Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Vijay Kumar D on Thursday, the 61-page draft with 10 sections and two annexures has been put in the public domain.

Suggestions can be submitted at agri-meg@gov.in, horti-meg@gov.in and agridept2021@gamil.com till September 30, with reference to section and page number.

The department will also hold stakeholder consultations with farmers, cooperatives, entrepreneurs and the scientific community before finalising the policy.
