Shillong, Oct 6: Ahead of the festive season, the state government has decided to offer Sixth Pay Commission to its employees.
“We are very happy to inform everyone that we have finally decided that the sixth pay commission committee will be constituted,” Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma announced in a video statement on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister said the process has already started and the notification will be out in a week or two.
“I expect that maybe in a week or a couple of weeks, we should be able to formally announce the chairman of the committee as well as the members. We have already had the preliminary discussion and it is only a matter of procedure,” he said. “Very soon, as I said, maybe in a week’s time or two weeks’ time the notification of the commission will be out,” he added.
