Ampareen Lyngdoh appointed MDA Govt adviser

Shillong, Nov 4: Former cabinet minister and NPP legislator from East Shillong Ampareen Lyngdoh, has been appointed as adviser to the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government.

She will receive perks and facilities under Category “A+”, as per the finance department’s office memorandum dated August 17, 2023.

This was informed by the Commissioner & Secretary in-charge Planning, Investment Promotion & Sustainable Development department CVD Diengdoh in a notification issued on November 3.

The appointment comes after the denotification of former chief minister D D Lapang’s appointment, following his demise.

Lyngdoh, a seasoned politician, has served as a cabinet minister in the Meghalaya government, holding portfolios such as Agriculture, Health, and Information & Public Relations.
