Bangladesh national caught near Dalu

Tura, March 20: A Bangladeshi national who illegally crossed over has been caught by Garo Hills police while travelling in a bus destined for neighbouring Assam.

The foreign national was detected on Thursday by Dalu police during checking of vehicles at the Karonggre tri-junction road that leads up from the border town towards Tura.

The Bangladeshi national identified as Abdul Razak, 23 years, S/o Md. Ayub Miah, R/o Moradpur, P.O: Bitangar, P.S: Baniasong, Dist. Habiganj, Sylhet, Bangladesh, was found travelling as a passenger in a bus bearing registration No. ML05N- 9732, heading towards Guwahati when he was intercepted at Karonggre tri-junction.

The suspect did not have any valid Passport or Visa and hence he was arrested and case registered under Foreigners Act at Dalu PS, informed police.
