Bomb scare delays Guwahati-Chennai flight

Guwahati, Nov 3: Panic gripped Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at Borjhar, Guwahati, following a bomb threat on an IndiGo flight bound for Chennai.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a search of the plane after an unidentified caller told airport authorities about the “bomb” placed on the Guwahati-Chennai flight.

The passengers were prevented from boarding the IndiGo flight 6E 119 scheduled for departure at 4 pm.

After an exhaustive inspection by CISF and airline authorities, the flight finally took off at 5:20 pm.

Earlier on October 25, a SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Shillong was forced to make an emergency landing at Borjhar Airport due to a similar threat.
