Christmas Pop Up Sale by DCIC Tura

Tura, Dec 5: A Two Day Christmas Pop Up Sale for promotion of Products of Trainees was organized by District Commerce and Industries Centre (DCIC), West Garo Hills, Tura at its Office premises in Dakopgre today afternoon. Chief Executive Officer, Tura Municipal Board, Tura Rikse R Marak inaugurated the event.

The Functional Manager, Ferdinand Sangma informed that the products for sale are local products made by trainers at various Departmental Training centres and Training Schemes implemented by DCIC, Tura such as, Cane and Bamboo products from Gambegre Training Centre, Products of trainees of Rural Artisans, Iron and Steel Fabrication products from Cherangre Training Centre and Tailored and Embroidery items from Training Centre at Asanang and Dakopgre Training centres. These schemes are being supported by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Shillong. The products were sold at very reasonable prices, he said.

General Manager, DCIC, Tura Don Felicent R Marak, Officers and Staff of DCIC were present at the event and people in and around the town visited the stalls and bought the items put up for sale. Those interested can visit the stalls tomorrow from 11 AM onwards.
