Shillong, May 14: Chief minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday fulfilled a promise he made to a group of young cricketers, whom he had interacted with during a trekking near Shillong.

Sangma, on his maiden visit to Sanmer village, handed over cricket kits to local cricket teams, including Sanmer Cricket Team, Sawmer Cricket Team, ½ Cricket Team, Mawklot Cricket Team, and Umlyngka Cricket Team. The event was organised by Sanmer Sports, Social, and Cultural Club.

During his recent impromptu meeting with the young cricketers, the chief minister had appreciated their passion for the sport and pledged support to arrange better cricket gears for them.
