The meeting focused on operationalising the Adani Group’s ₹50,000 crore investment commitment made during the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit held recently in Guwahati.

The discussion aimed at ironing out procedural bottlenecks and fast-tracking project rollouts across multiple sectors. Key topics included the execution of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) covering cement manufacturing, the development of an atrocity, and the construction of a thermal power project in the state.

The Chief Minister and the Adani team also explored the potential of the Jogighopa Multimodal Logistics Park, which is seen as a game-changing hub for trade and commerce. Sarma highlighted the strategic connectivity Assam now boasts—across air, road, rail, and inland waterways—which positions the park as a prime driver of regional economic activity.

Discussions extended to infrastructure development, including hotels and urban amenities, with both sides identifying areas for immediate action. CM Sarma assured the Adani Group of full government support, including swift land allotment and clearances, to ensure smooth project execution.

“The collaboration with Adani Group opens new frontiers for Assam’s growth, particularly in logistics and infrastructure,” said Sarma. “We’re committed to removing every hurdle to make sure these projects take off quickly and start benefiting the state’s people.”
