Governor felicitates war veterans, veer naaris

Shillong, Nov 22: Governor CH Vijayashankar felicitated war veterans, Veer Naris, and officials of Sainik Welfare Board at a programme at Raj Bhavan on Friday.

The programme was held to celebrate the immense contribution of the ex‑servicemen, families of fallen heroes, and members of the defence community to the nation.

In his address, the governor said, “War veterans are living testaments of India’s military strength and patriotic spirit, whose service continues to inspire the younger generations.”

He acknowledged the courage and resilience of Veer Naris, noting, “Their strength symbolises a silent but profound form of bravery.”

The Governor also commended the officials of the Sainik Welfare Board for their tireless efforts.
