Shillong, Apr 9: A proposal to enhance overall benefits of retired judges of Meghalaya High Court was approved in the state cabinet on Tuesday.
The proposal was sent by the judiciary three times to the government so far, said chief minister Conrad Sangma.

Accordingly, reimbursements will be issued for 1000 units of electricity, 100 litres of petrol, and Rs 4,200 for internet and telephone expense per month.
However, a judge will cease to get these benefits once s/he is engaged in a particular activity or made chairman of certain commissions.
