KHADC’s revenue share to be released soon: Tynsong

Shillong, Sep 9: In a positive development for the crisis-laden Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), the state government is likely to release a revenue share of around Rs 60-70 crore to the Council.

Informing this, Deputy Chief Minister in-charge District Council Affairs (DCA) Prestone Tynsong on Tuesday said, “Recently, the CEM of KHADC had met me and now we are processing for releasing of those dues which is about 60-70 crore.”

“Calculation is still on and very soon we are going to release,” Tynsong told the Assembly while replying to a query of VPP leader Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit.

Basaiawmoit alleged that the government did not want to release the share of KHADC.
