Shillong, Apr 18: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has taken up with Delhi Police a case of alleged assault on a woman from Meghalaya by her employer in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The employer, who allegedly beat up the woman working as a helper, was reportedly arrested while the victim with injuries on her arm was taken for medical examination.
The KSU Delhi unit said it had already taken up the matter with ADG Robin Hibu, who heads the Special Police Unit for North East Region in Delhi Police, as well as SP of East Khasi Hills.
