KSU warns against rash driving in Ri Bhoi

Shillong, May 31: The Khasi Students’ Union on Sunday issued a strong warning against rash driving after receiving public complaints about frequent accidents at Tyrso in Ri Bhoi.

KSU Tyrso Unit president Playerfull Mashli appealed to drivers to restrain from speeding. “We urge all drivers operating in Tyrso area or coming to Tyrso not to overspeed, especially during school hours when children are commuting to and from school. They must keep to the speed limit of 30 km/h,” he said.

“If anyone is found violating this even after this public notice, the union will take strict action and even hand them over to law enforcement authorities,” Mashli warned.

The union also requested the public to inform the KSU if they see drivers speeding.

“On our part, we also request drivers to cooperate so that we can bring peace and safety to the entire Tyrso area,” he added.
