Mahendraganj CHC forms rapid response team amid floods

Ampati, July 12: The Mahendraganj Community Health Centre (CHC) has constituted a Rapid Response Team to provide emergency medical assistance and maintain healthcare services amid the prevailing flood situation in the area.

The team, led by Mahendraganj CHC in-charge and Senior Medical and Health Officer Dr N.A. Khan, will respond to flood-related medical emergencies, conduct rapid health assessments, provide essential treatment and assist in disease surveillance in affected areas.

“The initiative is aimed at ensuring timely medical response and uninterrupted healthcare services for people affected by the ongoing floods,” the CHC stated in an official communication.

The team comprises staff nurse Manisha Sangma, NCD data entry operator Imran Haque, Mahmud Sasmal, Grade-IV employee Hamidul Islam, Amirul Islam and ambulance driver Rocky Kazi, besides Dr Khan.

The constitution of the team has been communicated to the District Medical and Health Officer, South West Garo Hills, with a copy forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner.
