Missing job seeker traced by KSU Bengaluru unit

Shillong, Jan 9: A person from Meghalaya, who went missing while travelling to Bengaluru in search of job, has been found safe by the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), Bengaluru Unit.

Chaltbha Muksor from Lad Rymbai in East Jaintia Hills left home on January 2, but his family lost contact with him after January 5.

On being alerted by KSU West Jaintia Hills unit, the KSU Bengaluru unit initiated a frantic search with posters and public notices circulated through social media seeking information about him.

Before going missing, his last confirmed location was at Jolarpettai Junction Railway Station, Tamil Nadu.

The KSU Bengaluru Unit on Friday informed that Muksor was found injured and currently under its care.

“Krishnagiri Police Station contacted us and informed that Chaltbha Muksor had been found injured and admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Krishnagiri,” said Donboklang Nongphud, president, KSU Bengaluru Unit.

“We immediately arranged transportation and proceeded to Krishnagiri to ensure his safety and well-being.”

Muksor, who has sustained a leg injury, is currently under the care of the KSU Bengaluru Unit.

“We appreciate the prompt action and cooperation of the SP and SI of Krishnagiri Police Station, and the hospital authorities,” said Nongphud. “We request the public to discontinue circulating the previous missing person alert and share this update to ensure accurate information reaches all concerned parties.”
