Shillong, July 6: Reckless driving by an allegedly drunk driver caused a multi-vehicle collision – with MLA Adelbert Nongrum in one of them – near Nehru Park, Umiam, on Sunday evening.
However, no one suffered injuries although the three vehicles – a Maruti Espresso, a Maruti car and the MLA’s Scorpio – suffered damages.
The Maruti Espresso, allegedly driven by a drunk driver, first rammed into a Maruti car before crashing into the Scorpio, according to the MLA who was travelling along with his family.
He said nobody in any of the three vehicles suffered any injury in the incident.
