Shillong, April 2: The scheduled implementation of new pay structure for over 23,000 SSA and ad-hoc school teachers from May 1 is on track with verification of personnel almost complete.
Informing this after a review meeting on Thursday, Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui said, “We are sure that within a few days, we will be able to complete it and on May 1, we will be able to pay the new salary.
Highlighting achievements of the government led by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in education sector, the Education Minister mentioned that several secondary schools have been upgraded to higher secondary schools and new streams added to colleges.
