No interview for Group-D posts

Shillong, July 10: The state government, in a bid to improve transparency and efficiency in recruitment process, has decided to do away with interviews for Group-D posts.

This decision aligns with the government’s policy of ensuring maximum transparency in recruitment process and complies with instructions from Central government, cabinet minister Paul Lyngdoh said after a cabinet meeting on Thursday.

“In line with this decision, all appointments for Group-D posts will be done without recourse to the process of interview. This will take effect from October 1, 2025 meaning it will have a prospective effect,” he said.

He said the decision will also help speed up the process of appointments to various Group-D posts.
