‘No resentment over Paul’s re-induction in cabinet’

Shillong, Nov 5: There is no resentment within NPP over the re-induction of Paul Lyngdoh in the cabinet, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said on Wednesday.

“We had most of the MLAs there when the decision was made and everybody has been communicated with and there is no issue at all in this aspect,” he said.

He said cabinet aspirations are natural but the party remains united.

“There will always be aspirations of everybody wanting to be in the cabinet. That is natural for any political party and that’s obviously the same for our political party also,” he said.

“But what is good about our party is that when a decision is made and when we look at the larger picture then the MLAs and everybody in the larger interest of the party will always accept the decisions that are made,” Sangma said.

The CM said the decision was accepted wholeheartedly.

“I am happy that in this case also the acceptance was there, and everybody has very happily welcomed this decision and followed it. We will continue to work together as a united party and show that NPP will go from strength to strength,” he added.
