Shillong, Mar 4: The National People’s Party (NPP) paid tributes to its founder and former Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma on his 10th death anniversary held at PA Sangma Building in Shillong.

Titled “A Decade of Remembrance: Carrying Forward His Vision”, the programme was chaired by NPP general secretary Prof Don Kupar War where party leaders, office bearers, workers and supporters gathered to pay homage to the late leader.
A formal prayer was led by NPP general secretary Forward L Mawlong followed by a one-minute silence and a floral tribute ceremony in memory of the late leader.
In his address, NPP working president Hamletson Dohling reflected on the life and legacy of PA Sangma.

NPP state president Prestone Tynsong, secretary Dr David A Kharchandy, and treasurer Daniel Thangkhiew; NPYF working president Bajop Pyngrope and NPWF president Grace Mary Kharpuri aere among others who addressed the programme.
NPP’s Ransom Sutnga offered the vote of thanks while Emlang Lyttan sang the concluding prayer.
