Shillong, April 14: The National People’s Party (NPP) will announce its candidate for the upcoming Shillong Lok Sabha bye-lection after the final selection made by party’s election committee.
The party has taken into consideration several potential, but the final decision will be made by the election committee, NPP state president and Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said on Tuesday.
On the party’s nomination to Rajya Sabha, he said the party is awaiting the notification in this regard from the Election Commission and the Rajya Sabha.
“We are yet to receive any nomination,” he said.
