Shillong rapper Reble drops latest anthem New Riot

Shillong, Nov 10: Meghalaya’s own Daiaphi Lamare, aka Reble, has just released her latest single, “New Riot”—a track that pulses with raw energy, distorted synths, and a message that refuses to be ignored.

“New Riot” isn’t just a song; it’s a declaration. Crafted during a personal breaking point, the 24-year-old channeled her emotions into a track that embraces chaos as a source of power. She explains, “The song was born from rage, the kind that makes you feel alive. It’s about giving shape to anger and emotional breakdowns.” For Reble, anger isn’t something to hide; it’s human, raw, and unfiltered—a reflection of the universe’s own chaos.

Collaborating with producer Parimal Shais, Reble delved into a soundscape influenced by phonk and Memphis rap. The process was organic, beginning with a distorted synth that set the tone. Guitarist Krishna M. Sujith from Space Is All We Have added layers that enriched the track’s depth. The pivotal moment came unexpectedly during a vocal take that Reble had envisioned as “dirtier,” capturing the essence of the song’s raw emotion.

“New Riot” is more than a personal catharsis; it’s an invitation to listeners to confront their own emotions. Reble believes that music should be felt, not explained. She states, “For me, songs are mirrors. You see in them what’s already inside you.” Whether one hears anger, freedom, or empowerment, the track serves as a reminder that our messy emotions are what makes us real.

This single marks a significant evolution in Reble’s musical journey. She describes it as her truest expression yet, stating, “Reble is the New Riot.” The track is part of a larger project exploring themes of chaos, emotion, and transformation, with aspirations to create something timeless.

Beyond the studio, Reble is making her presence felt on major live platforms. She performed at Spotify’s Rap 91 showcase and is scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud India 2025, sharing the stage with global superstars.

“New Riot” isn’t just a song; it’s a movement. Released under Homegrown Music, a joint venture with Atlantic Records, the track is now available across all major streaming platforms. Reble invites listeners to experience the energy, feel the unfiltered truth, and join the revolution.
