Tura, Aug 13: Giving a major boost and support to the youth in their preparation for employment, particularly government and other sector jobs, the West Garo Hills district administration has rolled out a six-week intensive career coaching and counselling program for Tura as well as a four week coaching program for youth of Dalu and Tikrikilla that is being supported by the Chief Minister’s Career Guidance and Counselling Scheme.
The initiative is being executed by expert faculty from T.I.M.E. Shillong and Guwahati, a nationally reputed institute for competitive exam training.

The program is being conducted across two blocks of the District—Dalu, Tikrikilla
and headquarters Tura with the goal of reaching students from every corner of the district and providing them with structured, high-quality coaching for government job examinations, CAT (Common Admission Test for IIMs), CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and CLAT (Common Law Admission Test for NLUs).
The orientation schedule for interested students is as follows: Tura August 19th, Dalu Aug 20th, and Tikrikilla Aug 21.
Classes will be delivered by experienced faculty who are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs,
AEC, and other premier institutions, focusing on developing students’ aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and overall exam readiness. The program also includes personalized mentoring, and meritorious students will be selected for scholarship-based long-term coaching at T.I.M.E. Shillong, a DIPR communique stated.
T.I.M.E. (Triumphant Institute of Management Education), headquartered in
Hyderabad, operates over 200 centers across India, and is widely acknowledged for producing the highest number of IIM selections annually. The regional operations of T.I.M.E. is led by Dr. Soumen Das, who is a B.Tech from IIT Guwahati, MBA from IIM Lucknow & PhD from IIT Guwahati, who left global corporate roles at General Motors USA to dedicate himself to youth development in Northeast India.
