Imphal, Aug 10: Security forces arrested two militants with allegiance to different proscribed outfits and involved in extortion from Manipur’s two valley districts, police said on Monday.
Konsam Sanatomba (44), United National Liberation Front (Koireng), was apprehended from Lamlong in Imphal East district on Sunday, an official said, adding that he was involved in extortion and threatening people.
In Kaakching district, Thounaojam Ibochouba Meitei (56), a self-styled corporal of the People’s Liberation Army, was arrested from Eco Park Road, police added. (PTI)
