Tynsong gives report on PMGSY progress in state

Shillong, Sept 11: Deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong on Thursday said only 10 works are remaining under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-I (PMGSY) roads in Meghalaya.

Tynsong said in his reply tabled in the Assembly that under PMGSY-II, out of 94 roads, 90 roads have been completed. Only 3 works remain to be completed.

Under PMGSY-III, out of 141 roads, 29 roads have been completed. There are 26 roads that are ongoing and 86 roads that are in the commencement stage as they have been recently allotted during February-May 2025, Tynsong said.

Further, one road work and 8 bridges are under bidding/rebidding, he added.

He informed that In Mawlai, there is only one ongoing road, namely MRL05-Mawlai to Lummawsiang to Mawsiatkhnam (L-10.00km), which was sanctioned under PMGSY-III (2022-23), which is in good progress having a physical progress of 85 pc.
