143 cases disposed of in Lok Adalat

Shillong, Mar 8: The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA) on Saturday organised National Lok Adalat in all the districts of the state under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), stated an official release.

In the National Lok Adalat, 737 pre-litigation cases and 328 pending cases were taken up for settlement.

Altogether 1,065 cases were taken up, of which 143 were settled for a total amount of Rs 75,18,326, added the release.
