IIM Shillong hosts maiden Model UN

Shillong, Mar 8: IIM Shillong hosted its first-ever Model United Nations (MUN), Anveshan 2025 in which the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) conducted a Continuous Crisis Simulation, testing participants’ diplomatic and strategic decision-making skills.

In his address, industry leader and NITI Aayog advisor Dr Kaustubh Sonalkar offered valuable insights into global governance and decision-making, stated a press release.

He also presented his best-selling book ‘Fetch Your Own Coffee’ to IIM Shillong director Prof DP Goyal on the occasion.

At Anveshan 2025, Best Delegates honour was conferred upon Sanskriti Modgal from St. Edmunds, representing Saudi Arabia in UNGA and Md Rezaul Islam from St. Anthony’s, representing the United States of America in UNSC.

High Commendation & Special Mention awards were also presented to participants for their exceptional contributions.

Anveshan 2025 has set a high benchmark and aspires to become a premier MUN conference in the years to come, added the release.
