Shillong, Mar28: Voice of the People Party (VPP) MLA Adelbert Nongrum has been suspended three years from the party for alleged anti-party activities.
A letter, issued to him by VPP vice-president Dr Kara H Shen, observed that the MLA’s response to a show-cause issued to him in this regard “was rather defensive, confrontational, and lacked any sign of regret”.
Along with the North Shillong MLA, the party also suspended four other members – Snarbor Laloo, Imti Jamir, Wilstone Sohshang and Richinbusiness Marwein.
