State BJP, businessmen review GST reforms

Shillong, Sept 30: The state BJP on Tuesday held a discussion with forty of Shillong’s most prominent businessmen on the outcome of the latest GST reforms.

The BJP team was represented by former cabinet minister and Pynthorumkhrah legislator A L Hek, Khrawboklang Basaiawmoit, state vice president, David Kharsati, senior leader, Daniella Nonglait, state secretary, Anzie Ellicia A. Sangma, state secretary and Susuki Pariat, state secretary.

The meeting emphasised on the importance of these next generation reforms and their positive impact on Indian and state economy, the increase in consumer confidence and the consequent higher business volumes that establishments can now expect.

It was agreed that a bold decision was made with far reaching results, a game changing move in a world where almost every major economy is staring at recession.
